Understanding the topography of the human body is essential to knowing

 

how each posture works to enhance various bodily functions. Stretching

 

the tendons is a form of external massage that releases essential feel-good

 

juices and endorphins; while compacting of glands and organs is like an

 

internal massage that enhances gland and organ function.

Most glands and organs are located between the hip and the head, not in

 

the upper or lower extremities (arms or legs).  So In order to ensure a total

 

body workout, it is vital to move the whole body, not just the arms or legs. 

 

Because it is in the coordinated stretching of muscles and tendons, and in

 

massaging of glands and organs that we find our total release.
